About the Series

Voices of People of Color at Climate Change March 2014 is a series by Third Kulture Media for social media distribution. In 2014, during the time of the UN’s Climate Summit, more than half a million people took to the streets from Manhattan to Melbourne, to address climate change. By end of day estimates, the flagship march in New York City drew approximately 400,000 people. As two women of color, were interested in talking to other people of color who attended the march about why they are affected by issues of economic justice and racism in our society and why these issues affect climate change.
