About the Series

As part of History Channel’s efforts to create an online presence, History NOW is a collection of timely and relevant stories that can only be experienced, documented and shared right now. History NOW features hundreds of evolving stories, with new content made available nearly every day, creating a living time capsule of the year’s events. These stories will capture significant and transformative events from the perspective of those who are living them creating a unique first-person perspective.  My contribution was towards the seven-part web series on Matthew VanDyke, who fought the Libyan revolution and now provides free training and supplies to Christian militias in Iraq who are fighting ISIS in nearby Mosul; and the six-part series on six researchers living in isolation on a volcano in Hawaii to simulate a Mars mission.
